Özcan Lighting is a leading company that manufactures its products locally and exports to 33 different countries. The company’s General Manager Sibel Demir talked about the product groups that can be used in all kinds of indoors spaces such as stores, offices, hospitals and homes, as well as their service and customer satisfaction policies, and the dynamism they have gained in the company thanks to Nebim V3. Could you please talk about Özcan Lighting product palette? Also, could you explain your manufacturing and export activities?

We are among the companies that manufacture locally in the lighting sector. We export to 33 different countries. Our product portfolio consists of lighting products and is focused on indoors. Our vast range includes products suitable for all conceivable indoor locations such as stores, offices, hospitals and homes. Some of them are panel wall lamps, individual pendant lighting groups, wall lamps and chandeliers with LED technology, table lamps that feature gradual light and function with a hand sensor, classical chandeliers, fixtures, energy saving spots and wall lamps, fixtures with sensors, hanging lights and lamps for children’s rooms, wall lamps with dimmer function, modern chandelier groups with remote control technology. In short, we have products that are aesthetically pleasing, durable and functional.

Could you talk about your after-sales services and customer satisfaction policy?

 In our opinion, the customers vastly benefit if they would prefer brand products of companies with a technical support network. Our consumers continue receiving service after they have bought the product. This is one of the most important factors that has put us in the leading position in the sector for 25 years. Following the sales, during the warranty period we stand fully behind our products the way corporate companies do, offering uninterrupted service.

How was 2011 for Özcan Lighting and what are your targets for 2012?

2011 too was quite intense and satisfying for us. Our customer networks both within Turkey and abroad has widened considerably. Our target for 2012 is to grow 25 % in the domestic and foreign markets.

Could you please evaluate the size of the lighting sector in Turkey and the circumstances regarding competition?

The number of Turkish lighting companies that manufacture for domestic and foreign markets while maintaining high quality standards grows every day. The growth and the innovations in the construction sector make the decoration sector grow. In parallel to this development, the lighting sector grows as well. Lighting is an indispensable part of decoration. Today, the number of the import companies keeps growing. This brings an intense competition. The competition benefits the customer as the prices fall.

Could you talk about your relationship with Nebim? At the moment, which Nebim software products and versions are you using at your store/stores? During which business process does the most efficient use take place?

 At our production site, management office and our stores we now use the V3 version of Nebim software. We can say that our business flow has accelerated as the ordering process is faster with handheld devices and the error margin has decreased during the delivery process.

Could you talk about the trainings and support services that you receive regarding the efficient use of Nebim software?

We went through an intense training period when the transition to Nebim V3 first took place. After we grasped the logic of the program, we started practicing our theoretical knowledge. During the implementation period, we keep receiving one-to-one support by weekly meetings and by communicating with the software team when we encounter a problem.
