The transition from Nebim Winner to Nebim V3 ERP was not like an upgrade for us, but rather the transition to a completely new program. All processes, authorizations and reports were designed afresh. This process was quite intense and tiring for both parties. However, this fresh start gave us the opportunity to think about business processes which we hadn’t noticed before, and to give authorizations and to manage them. Also, with this new program we have many features that are important for the eyewear sector such as social security institution prescriptions, length of product card name, number of product feature classes, product images, personnel authorizations etc. All these features were not available in the old program.

Could you please tell us about the history of OPMAR, a leading brand in the eyewear sector?

Opmar Optik offers the world-famous brands to Turkish customers with the self-service system. The self-service method is applied in Turkey for the very first time, and it enables our customers to choose their eyeglasses in a comfortable and unrestricted manner. Customer satisfaction is our main credo. The concept of big stores was introduced to the Turkish eyewear sector by Opmar. Frames sold in our stores produced by famous brands are bar-coded, so their global sales prices can be known instantly. All these brands help the Turkish consumers find their own style and follow the fashion trends. The world-known brand Rodenstock is famous for its optical lenses and frames. They are offered to Opmar customers through experienced sales attendants and opticians using computers. The device named ImpressionIST 3 enables us to determine the focal point most correctly.

Opmar Optik also offers various attractive sales campaigns at certain times of the year and makes it easier for the customers to pay for their purchases. As of 2016, we have 76 stores. We at Opmar Optik offer the best prices for our customers, anywhere and anytime in Turkey. We bring a new understanding to the eyewear retail sector in this country.

How did NebimV3 ERP contribute to your business flow?

You apply Nebim solutions not only for retail, but also for your wholesale processes. What are Nebim’s contributions to your processes in this area?

It is a big advantage for us that both systems are the same. We speak the same language with our wholesale side. Compared to the retail, the transition to Nebim V3 was slightly more difficult for wholesale. The reason for this was that optics was a new sector for Nebim and the program developed with us. I would like to say that all necessary support was provided by Nebim, all troubles were resolved within the shortest time and they did their best to add the new features.

During the e-Transformation process, what were the advantages of the integration-friendly structure of Nebim V3 ERP?

Thanks to its modular structure, Nebim V3 offered us full integration not only for the e-Transformation, but also for third parties such as HOPI. The advantage of full integration is that human errors are minimized and everything is done systematically. We were subject to all e-Transformation processes and together with Nebim, we implemented them very quickly and with a minimum of errors.
