Mert Optik has been in the optics sector since 1983 and serves its customers at 28 stores all over Turkey. They offer world brands with a rich selection. Mert Optics talked about their transition to Nebim, their targets, Nebim solutions specifically designed for the optics sector, the results they have achieved with these solutions, as well as their contribution to growth and development.

Could you tell us about the history of Mert Optics?

We have been in this sector since 1983. We serve our customers at 28 stores in total, starting with Eskişehir. High quality world brand products which are manufactured with the highest technology are offered to our customers with rich selections. Our motto is “Bring in the good ones; sell the good ones” instead of “Whatever we bring in, we will sell.” What distinguishes us is that we follow the newest innovations in the sector and we don’t hesitate to invest in this regard. As we are distributing the most important brands in the world, we need to be very careful. Therefore, we use computerized machines with zero errors to put the glasses into frames.

When did your collaboration with Nebim start? What were the targets you set when you started implementing Nebim solutions?

 As we follow the technology closely, we also approach our company with the same care. At our company, we needed a practical system that allows us to control our headquarters and stores regarding all the aspects. We selected Nebim because of their experience in the sector and we have completed 15 years of collaboration. When we started implementing Nebim, our biggest target was to create an infrastructure that increases our productivity, strengthens the control mechanism and carries us one step further. We reached these targets in a short period of time thanks to Nebim’s parametrical structure that is always improving.

With Nebim Winner, we can instantly monitor our eyeglass orders and list them with the details that we want. With orders and inventory management, we can put limits such as best-seller or no-seller and analyze our headquarters and stores, so that our inventory is monitored in a more accurate fashion. With Nebim solutions, we can easily use the special eyeglass labels on the barcodes, and so our inventory counts are now significantly faster than before. Using the inventory price monitoring solution, we can instantly see the information on a product on the hand terminals during the sale. In a very short amount of time, the reports that we submit to the Social Security Institution can be obtained with Winner thanks to the system specifically created for our sector.

We can define the amounts paid by the Social Security Institution and by private insurance companies for eyeglasses and frames as their contributions, and we can quickly and easily prepare the invoices for them with regards of the sales that took place. With the Nebim solutions specifically created for the optics sector, we can keep all information details about our customers, such as doctor information, eyeglasses information, and frames information. With the cards that we had specially printed, we can keep track of the orders, and we can see the end date of the warranty of glasses.

In your opinion, which one is the most efficient application of Nebim? Could you talk about your future plans with Nebim?

Halogen business intelligence solution that works together with Nebim Winner is at the top of the most efficient applications that allow us to monitor all details clearly. We can easily and quickly see the performance of the staff, or which eyeglasses sell more, or the turnovers of the stores. With the application, we can obtain reports based on days, months and years, and carry out accurate analyses. Nebim is a company that keeps improving itself, so we intend to make use of the other solutions offered by Nebim in a short while and achieve absolute customer satisfaction.
