Ercan Görür, the owner of Journey, explained the growth process of the brand and the role of Nebim software in increasing their productivity. Journey started in 1996 as a manufacturer in the ladies’ apparel sector and opened its first retail store in 2000. Now, the company serves its customers at more than 100 points of sale all over Turkey. Would you please give us some brief information about your company? In which areas are you active? How long have you been in this sector? How many people are in your staff? Do you have any international activities?

1996, Journey started in the ladies’apparel sector as a manufacturer, and in 2000 opened its first retail store. Today, we are serving our customers at over 100 points of sale all over Turkey. Our collection consists of products that can be worn in business life by professional women aged 18-40. We mainly produce suits, shirts, skirts, jackets to be worn in an office environment. To this product group, we have also added the “Journey 1996” collection produced with more elegant and special fabrics, “Journey Jeans” collection produced for customers preferring comfortable and casual wear at the weekend, and the “Journey Night” collection for special occasions. Most recently, in the previous summer season we presented the “Journey Kids” collection, where mothers and daughters can wear exactly the same clothes.

The first reactions for our “Mother-Daughter Collection” aimed at girls between 2 and 8 years of age were very encouraging. We intend to continue and widen our collection. Our target is to present our collections in new stores both in Turkey and abroad in 2012. A team of 400 people is behind all this. In which areas do you need ERP software the most?

Our need for ERP grows in accordance with the growth that we achieve at Journey. Especially the growth in number of produced items increases the importance of the efficient distribution of the products. Therefore, we need the Nebim software specifically designed for production and warehouses. In this regard, we plan to advance our partnership with Nebim more and more every day.

What are the reasons for you to prefer Nebim? Which targets form the base of your collaboration with Nebim?

Before our collaboration with Nebim, we weren’t able to monitor our inventory in an accurate and fast way. With the increase of our stores, this need grew more vital. We use Nebim software in all our stores. We can say that Nebim software functions efficiently in all our work processes and that our productivity and speed increased especially regarding inventory and retail.
